Many different companies like Razer, SteelSeries or Logitech bring out new models all the time, making the market really hard to follow. That’s why I will show you my personal, hands-on recommendation on the best gaming mouse 2017!

Razer is one of the most renowned brands when it comes to gaming gear; teams like Evil Geniuses or Counter-Logic-Gaming rely on mechanical keyboards or mice from them! The Razer Deathadder is the Razer mouse you see most on desks of eSports professionals. This is not surprising though: with its 6.400dpi 4G optical sensor and Razer’s hyperesponse buttons, it is made specifically for aspiring gaming professionals. The Deathadder also has a great grip to it due to its rubber texture on each side. The thumb buttons are perfectly placed and in the current version, the mouse wheel has a great feel to it as well.

Zowie is a pretty new brand when it comes to computer gear, founded in 2008. It is very surprising though how many eSports professionals rely on their products! The Zowie FK1 is a small gamer mouse and very often seen in Korea. It is also pretty light and by thus perfect for smaller hands. It offers 3.200dpi which can be adjusted to one’s liking, just like the USB report rate. The sensor is the famous Avago 3310, which delivers great results with an intuitive low lift-off distance. If you’re looking for blinking lights or adjustable weights you have to look elsewhere; the Zowie FK1 made it into our list of the best gaming mouse 2017 because it is stripped down to professional gamers’ needs!

With a configurable resolution of up to 6.500dpi and a response time of just 1ms you will have one of the most precise mice (oh, that rhymes :D) on the market right now. With the included software you can adjust nearly everything to your needs: CPI, buttons, acceleration, deceleration – and even the color of the built in light with 16.7 million variants. The shape reminds me of the Microsoft Intelli 3.0, one of the best early optical mouses I’ve used. This shape is really great for right-handed gamers and just “feels right“. No matter if you need all the fancy customization options; even without these, the SteelSeries Rival surely has to be mentioned when it comes to the best gaming mouse 2017!

With its odd shape the Logitech G502 surely is the most futuristic looking one in our guide to the best gaming mouse 2017. But compared to other cheap mice that just look good, the G502 is the best gaming mouse 2017 for me. The customization options are just too impressive: you can adjust the optical sensor for your specific mouse pad. You can insert weights to adjust the center of balance of the mouse. You can switch through five DPI settings (200dpi to 12.000dpi!) and even do it “on-the-fly” if you need higher precision (e.g. when activating a scope in a FPS game). With 11 programmable buttons you also have a great variety of switches, even for MMO games. For me, the Logitech G502 combines everything great mice in the past had to offer and put it into one outstanding piece of gaming equipment. Because of this, the Logitech G502 Proteus is the best gaming mouse 2017 for us!

Gamers today are in a great position when they need a new mouse in 2017. As you see above, there are so many great mice on the market right now that it’s hard to chose from! But when it comes to high-end gaming equipment, there are still differences between “good”, “great” and “perfect”. When you take everything into account, the Logitech G502 stands out as the best gaming mouse 2017 that money can buy right now – although the other mice presented here all are great pieces of equipment as well!
